What: A cardinal part of hospitality industry, hotel management has wide employment opportunities. Remuneration in hotel management industry differs depending upon the hotel management institute the candidate passed out from, work experience, skills and ability to handle tough situations. Those who come from top notch hotel management institutes such as IHM receive starting salary of Rs 20,000 or more. Similarly, candidates with diploma or certification programs can get salaries starting from Rs 8,000 to 10,000. Again the salary package differs a lot on the size and shape of the employment company. Large hotel chains offer attractive remuneration and pamper their employees.

           

                    

How: Hotel management like any other sector is subject to the state of national economy and global economy. When the economy is doing well jobs come a lot in the sector. होटल मैनेजमेंट इंडस्ट्री में पारिश्रमिक का निर्धारण अभ्यर्थी के पासआउट वाले होटल मैनेजमेंट इंस्टीट्यूट, कार्य अनुभव, कौशल और कठिन परिस्थितियों को संभालने की क्षमता के अनुसार होता है। आई एच एम जैसे शानदार होटल मैनेजमेंट इंस्टीट्यूट से आने वाले अभ्यर्थियों को शुरुआती स्तर पर 20,000 रुपये से अधिक का वेतन मिलता है। इसी तरह से डिप्लोमा या सर्टिफिकेशन प्रोग्राम करके आये हुए उम्मीदवार 8,000 से 10,000 रुपये तक का शुरूआती वेतन प्राप्त कर सकते हैं। वेतन पैकेज काफी हद तक रोजगार देने वाली कंपनी के आकार पर निर्भर करता है। बड़े होटल चेन द्वारा अपने कर्मचारियों को आकर्षक पारिश्रमिक प्रदान किए जाने के साथ साथ उनका भरपूर ख्याल भी रखा जाता है।

कैसेः किसी भी अन्य क्षेत्र की तरह होटल मैनेजमेंट भी राष्ट्रीय व अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अर्थव्यवस्था की स्थिति के अधीन होता है। जब अर्थव्यवस्था की स्थिति अच्छी होती है तो इस सेक्टर में बड़े पैमाने पर रोजगार के मौके आते हैं। फिलहाल भारत में 24 लाख से ज्यादा लोग होटल, कैटरिंग व इससे जुड़ी इंडस्ट्री में कार्यरत हैं और शहरी व अर्ध शहरी क्षेत्रों में बड़े पैमाने पर खुल रहे नए होटलों की वजह से अगले कुछ वर्षों में इस संख्या में और बढ़ोत्तरी होगी। ट्रेंड होटल मैनेजमेंट प्रोफेशनल्स को अनट्रेंड ग्रेजुएट्स की अपेक्षा वरीयता दी जाएगी क्योंकी होटल्स द्वारा रिक्रूट्स को प्रशिक्षित किए जाने की बजाय ट्रेंड प्रोफेशनल्स ज्यादा पसंद किया जाता है।

होटल मैनेजमेंट में अंडरग्रेजुएट कोर्स के लिए न्यूनतम चयन मानदंड में 50 प्रतिशत अंकों के साथ 10$2 है। हालांकि जिन अभ्यर्थियों के 50 फीसदी अंक नहीं है वे होटल मैनेजमेंट के क्षेत्र में विभिन्न संस्थानों द्वारा पेश किए जा डिप्लोमा या सर्टिफिकेट कोर्स के विकल्प को चुन सकते हैं। होटल मैनेजमेंट में करियर बनाने के इच्छुक विद्यार्थियों में शानदार कम्युनिकेशन स्किल, न्यूमेरिकल एबिलिटी के साथ आकर्षक व्यक्तित्व का भी होना आवश्यक है। इसलिए यदि कुछ उम्मीदवारों में इन स्किल्स की कमी है तो उन्हे जल्द ही उपयुक्त मदद लेते हुए इन कमियों को दूर कर लेना चाहिए।
