Candidates must have passed class XII with physics and maths and be not less than 17 years of age to start Commercial Pilot Licence training. कॉमर्शियल पायलट्स को आकर्षक वेतन और इंसेटिव्स मिलता है। एक कॉमर्शियल पायलट का शुरूआती वेतन एयरलाइन और अनुभव के आधार पर 40,000 से 1,50,000 रुपये प्रति माह तक हो सकता है। इसके अलावा उसे प्रोविडिएंट फंड, ग्रेच्युटी और चिकित्सा सुविधाओं के रूप में विशेष लाभ भी दिया जाता है।
कैसे: किसी भी संस्था में प्रवेश लेने से पहले यह जरुर सुनिश्चित कर लेना चाहिये कि उस फ्लाइंग स्कूल को देश के नागर विमानन प्राधिकरण से मंजूरी मिली है या नहीं।
कॉमर्शियल पायलट लाइसेंस ट्रेनिंग को शुरू करने के लिए उम्मीदवार को भौतिकी और गणित के साथ बारहवीं कक्षा उत्तीर्ण होना चाहिये और उसकी उम्र 17 वर्ष से कम नहीं होनी चाहिये। उन्हे डीजीसीए द्वारा प्रमाणित डॉक्टर या फ्लाइंग ट्रेनिंग से पूर्व स्टूडेंट पायलट लाइसेंस जारी करने के लिए बनी मेडिकल टीम के अनुसार द्वितीय श्रेणी के स्तर पर स्वस्थ होना चाहिये। प्राइवेट हेलीकाप्टर पायलट लाइसेंस ट्रेनिंग दसंवी के बाद सोलह साल छ महिने की उम्र में शुरु की जा सकती है। मुंबई विश्वविद्यालय सीपीएल प्रशिक्षण प्रदान करने वाले विभिन्न कॉलेजों के माध्यम से बीएससी एविएशन की डिग्री प्रदान करता है।
कहां: एक पायलट बनने के लिये उच्च स्तर के कौशल की आवश्यकता होती है। कमर्शियल जेट को उड़ाने के लिये आवश्यक कौशल प्राप्त करने में वास्तव में कई वर्षों का समय लगता हैं। इसके अलावा, एक पायलट हमेशा अपने कौशल पर काम करता है; जिसमें सुधार की गुंजाइश हमेशा रहती है।
